My job was to recruit & hire attorneys to work on big lawsuits, such as Samsung vs. Apple for fingerprint technology; big pharma patents; and financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, & the SEC regarding the mortgage-backed securities crisis.  I know what employers are looking for in a potential hire, what they want to see on a resume, and what questions will make you stand out in an interview.

More importantly, I know how to help you develop self-awareness. In therapy, we will work on building skills to connect you with your authenticity so that when it is time to make choices about where you are headed, you have a clear path to understanding what is best for YOU even as your circumstances change.

Trying to find your footing in the world can be really difficult. Older folks will sometimes trivialize the plight faced by today's young people by pointing out their sensitivities and calling them out for an unwillingness to "pay their dues like the rest of us did";

And I say, "thank God!"...

Why should young people be excited about taking jobs when wages have not kept pace with either the cost of living or the rise of inflation over the last 20 years? The truth is -- even before the pandemic -- the world faced by young people today is vastly different than it was for the generations that were born even just 10 years before them... gone are the days when a person could expect to grow while "paying their dues" at just 1 or 2 companies over the full trajectory of their career path.

Today's market requires a different skillset than the one our parents encountered when they first stepped out into the world. It requires more flexibility, resourcefulness, and an unwillingness to stagnate somewhere where the opportunities for growth, autonomy, & ingenuity are either too slow or don't align with long-term goals. The good news is that the modern market is full of opportunity; I believe it offers young people the chance to define who they are and what they want out of life and their careers on their own terms.

In my former life, I worked in New York City as

the Recruiting Manager for Update Legal, Inc.

Young people don't only struggle with career choices...

Young people struggle with anxiety, depression, identity development, gender issues, sexuality, social phobia, grief, difficulty leaving childhood, breakups, & chronic stress. I offer a nonjudgmental space to work through whatever it is that blocks you from claiming your best life. Our time in therapy will give you the tools you need to deepen your self-knowledge, reduce your anxiety, & empower you with confidence in your choices -- all the while providing heartfelt compassion for your unique story and offering a sense of humor to help you ground into an embodied sense of what is possible in this life.
